I've tried MANY online fixes - modifying reg keys, renaming the display name etc. I'm running Cisco An圜onnect for my work VPN (no choice) - everything was running fine - All of a sudden, when An圜onnect was upgraded to version 0, I can no longer connect. I have limited technical "background system" knowledge, so please take that into consideration. I've even tried changing the ACL on the registry key to stop the client changing it back to the bad string and that didn't work either.Hi there. I try to remove these but every time, the VPN client resets itīack to the junk. I've read on other sites that the issue in previous Windows versions was down to the DisplayName key in the registry for the adapter driver being incorrect and including some junk characters. When trying to connect, I enter the destination address and prompt for credentials then it gets stuck trying to repair the VPN adapter and fails. I have tried uninstalling it all, removing the registry keys, ProgramData and User Profile directories and I have tried three different An圜onnect client versions, 8, 2 and 8 and all experience the same issue. I moved to use a new ASA VPN endpoint today which forced anĪn圜onnect client upgrade on my PC and since that update, I've not been able to get the client to connect and wondered if anyone else has had this issue using ![]() I've been using Windows 10 since the first TP release build and bar having to change vpnui.exe to use Windows 8 compatibility mode, the well known issue/fix, I've had no issues to date. ![]()
